{"id":1902,"date":"2013-07-30T17:14:34","date_gmt":"2013-07-30T17:14:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/3lectrik.com\/airgain\/?p=1902"},"modified":"2013-07-30T17:14:34","modified_gmt":"2013-07-30T17:14:34","slug":"applications-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/3lectrik.com\/airgain\/applications-engineer","title":{"rendered":"Applications Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Job descriptions:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Define, manage, and execute test plans which compare embedded antenna performance.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and document wireless performance issues on products under test and engage with customer\/chipset vendor to troubleshoot and resolve.<\/li>\n<li>Analyze test results and create technical reports.<\/li>\n<li>Present test reports to customers.<\/li>\n<li>Perform and evaluate passive antenna measurements (S11, S21, &amp; gain).<\/li>\n<li>Improve and optimize Airgain OTA test automation.<\/li>\n<li>Recommend and develop active antenna test methods.<\/li>\n<li>Travel to customer sites to support Airgain OTA test equipment and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team to complete all the documents for engineering and product development, which include product specification, build-package.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct full antenna Integration process for customer product which include case study, antenna selection, antenna placement, and OTA test.<\/li>\n<li>Create drawings for engineering and products<\/li>\n<li>Support \u00a0Airgain product manufacture.<\/li>\n<li>Hardware test and verification.<\/li>\n<li>Develop reference designs of product lines.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the assembly of prototypes, quick builds and samples.<\/li>\n<li>Develop antenna reference designs for various MIMO radio architectures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 years in an Applications, FAE or Technical Support Engineer role.<\/li>\n<li>Solid knowledge on EM theory.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of antennas, transmission line theory, and passive RF circuit design.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with the characteristics and design of various antenna types is required.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience performing S-parameter measurements, antenna pattern measurements.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to deliver on-time and work well as a team member in a team consisting of different design disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n<ul>\n<li>2 years drafting and presenting technical reports.<\/li>\n<li>5 years experience with 802.11 networks, which may include designing, deploying, supporting, troubleshooting and administering.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with 802.11 chipsets and radio architecture Understanding of RF transmissions &amp; antenna behavior.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Ability to use protocol analyzers tools such as OmniPeek and Wireshark Experience with Network Test Tools (e.g. IxChariot ).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Experience using and scripting test automation for networked devices.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The following Certifications would be a plus: CWNA, CWSP, CWAP, CCNA<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Education:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors degree (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please send your resume and a cover letter to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@airgain.com\">careers@airgain.com<\/a>\u00a0if you wish to be considered for this position.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job descriptions: Define, manage, and execute test plans which compare embedded antenna performance.
