Principals of the firm have also volunteered in organizations for the rebuilding of San Diego communities affected by fire, such as the Community Design Assistance Team for Normal Heights Fire.
Due to the firm’s extensive involvement in AIA San Diego, Delawie was presented with the “Distinguished Service by a Member Firm” Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007. A lifelong supporter of AIA, the firm is proud that seven members have served as Chapter Presidents. Doug Paterson, an architect at the firm, is currently serving as the 2012 President for the AIA San Diego Chapter.
