Delawie is proud to sponsor the 5th annual TOWERthon benefiting the Toussaint Academy of Father Joe’s Villages on June 18, 2016, in downtown San Diego, California. The firm has been a sponsor of the TOWERthon since the inaugural event in 2012 and is proud to support Father Joe’s Villages, a multi-faceted human services agency renowned for their innovative approach to saving and changing the lives of homeless and at-risk children and their families.
This year’s TOWERthon will be held at the 550 Corporate Center in downtown San Diego, where participants will be vertically challenged to climb a series of 20 flights of stairs as many times as possible within a two-hour window.
“We are delighted to once again support the TOWERthon. As one of the region’s largest and longest-established architecture firms, it’s important to us that we give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years,” said Frank Ternasky, Principal of Delawie. “It’s our goal to build strong partnerships with the San Diego community through charitable generosity and have encouraged our employees to engage with and support local organizations as well.”
Mr. Ternasky was a board member of Father Joe’s Villages’ Toussaint Academy—the only long-term residential program for homeless youth in San Diego, and is currently a board member of Father Joe’s Villages’ St. Vincent de Paul Village. Frank is passionate about ending youth homelessness and continues to be involved with fundraising efforts to benefit the Toussaint Academy and Father Joe’s Villages.
San Diego is home to more than 8,700 homeless men, women and families, making it the fifth largest population of homeless in the U.S. and the third largest for homeless veterans. With that said, please join us in climbing stairs to end youth homelessness on June 18th!
