Delawie placed 2nd in the “PILLOW ART CHALLENGE” benefiting Invincible Me, a charity dedicated to fostering the hidden talents of battered women and providing support needed to build confidence and a better life.
The challenge was to create a “Pillow of Art” for display at BDwest and as a silent auction item to raise funds for less fortunate women who are working to reclaim their sense of being “invincible” while rediscovering their independence and self worth.

The Delawie design team was inspired by the Monarch School origami butterfly. Where a simple paper square is folded and transformed into a work of beauty. Where students are transformed through learning and experiences to expand their horizons.
Utilizing recycled leather and vinyl samples, the pillow structure face was fabricated by interlocking the over 600 custom die cut pieces. Transforming, Recycling, and using simple materials in an unusual manner.
