San Diego State University

On the boards at Delawie are three Design-Build projects with C.W. Driver at San Diego State University (SDSU).

In 2002, Delawie prepared the bridging documents for the College of Extended Studies which provides instruction and counseling for lifelong learning and career advancement. In response to the increased needs of the adult, professional business student, this tenant improvement provides new flexible classrooms on the third floor of the building with a corporate design emphasis rather than a traditional academic environment. The $2.4 million project is expected to open in Fall 2016.

On the northwest end of campus, the $3.1 million recreation field for SDSU Associated Students is designed for intramural and informal soccer or flag football. The project has critical soil settling considerations that were incorporated into the design and enhanced landscaping to fit within the fabric of the University.

HVAC systems repairs and replacement at the music department will provide needed climate and humidity control to protect the University’s and student’s musical instruments. ADA upgrades in Rhapsody Hall and J. Dayton Smith Hall will include accessible seating and assisted listening devices. The $0.5 million project is expected to be complete in March 2016.
