The San Diego Regional Proving Ground and the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) invite you to help shape California’s strategy for public outreach and education on Autonomous Vehicles (AV).

The agenda for this San Diego Regional Proving Ground Consortium meeting and registration details will be available in early May. Consortium meeting highlights:

  • Hear updates from Dr. Bernard Soriano, Deputy Director of the California Department of Motor Vehicles, about new state regulations for AV testing and deployment.
  • Find out what state and local law enforcement agencies expect for the Law Enforcement Interaction Plan now required for driverless testing and deployment in California.
  • Discover what recent market research revealed about the public’s knowledge and perceptions of AVs and provide input on California’s strategy for AV outreach and education.
  • Learn about cutting edge research underway at the UC San Diego Contextual Robotics Institute and Design Lab.
