Connected Lighting Solution
The GreenWave Reality connected lighting solution leverages the NXP JenNet-IP™ protocol, a leading IPv6-based stack for low power networks. JenNet-IP has several benefits over alternative low power protocols as it’s secure, scalable and lightweight that allows fast response time and quick recovery when used in conjunction with legacy wall switches.
Each lamp contains a wireless antenna that allows for high quality reliable communication between the bulbs using wireless network.
GreenWave Reality’s lighting solution currently supports up to 250 lamps in a single network. Multiple lighting Gateway’s can be combined to form an even larger network with thousands of lamps.

Remote and Smart Control

LED LampsThe GreenWave Reality Connected Lighting Solution, which is part of the GreenWave Reality Smart Home Platform, consists of high-quality, connected LED bulbs from our partners, a hand-held remote controller, and an optional Gateway that allows for complete remote lighting control. Our partners LED lamps are controllable replacement lamps that are manufactured to the highest quality standards so that the light quality is very similar to Incandescent or Halogen bulbs (in both brightness and color). The lamps typically consume about 80% less energy than an equivalent incandescent or halogen lamp. The LED’s deliver a pleasing, warm light rated at 2700°K for incandescent replacements or 3000°K for halogen replacements. |
Smart ControlsBy simply screwing in the lamps, consumers can immediately begin to control their lights. The solution comes pre-configured with “home,” “away” and “night” Smart Controls. For example, before bed, consumers can simply press the “night” Smart Control to turn off all lights, eliminating the need to go from room to room to turn lights off. Consumers can also create their own custom Smart Controls to fit their lifestyle. For added convenience and safety, the solution is “light switch friendly,” meaning that existing wall switches will still turn the lights on or off in all circumstances. |
Connected Lighting applications for Smart DevicesThe network connects all lamps together, allowing flexible wireless control of all devices in a house. Each end node has an IPv6 address and can be controlled either individually or as part of a group. This allows the creation of various lighting “scenes”, for example for reading or for watching TV. As each lamp is connected to the Internet, it can easily be controlled by internet connected devices such as smartphones or tablets. Other control devices such as switches or remote controls can be used for everyday convenience. With fully flexible control, energy savings can be made by ensuring that only lamps that are really needed are at full brightness. |
Lighting Gateway & RemoteThe lighting Gateway is the hub that connects the smart bulbs to your home network. The Lighting Gateway will pass controls between your Smart Phone/Tablet and your lamps. The Gateway can do this locally on your Home Network or through our cloud server when you’re not at home. The Lighting Gateway also manages Smart Controls to ensure your scheduled events gets activated reliably regardless if you are home or not. |
