Michael Wall Engineering provided design-build electrical construction documents for the technologically advanced electrical infrastructure improvements to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms. This massive base covering 998-square miles in the Mojave Desert provides live fire arms training and support facilities for up to 25,000 Navy and civilian personnel. The project provided essential electrical power and SCADA infrastructure upgrades to support energy independence on the base.

The design-build P-127 Substation Improvements and Infrastructure Upgrades project was delivered as part of the North Mainside Expansion. The design included infrastructure and utilities for eight (8) new city blocks adjacent to the existing Mainside area of MCAGCC Twentynine Palms. The project includes design for the new 35kV Ocotillo Switching Station, over 18 miles of new fiber optic SCADA systems interconnecting over 5400 points of electrical equipment, a new Primary Substation, and new overhead/underground 35kV and 12kV pole lines.
