Job Description:
Under general supervision, the Test Engineer (Mid) executes various forms of tests on wired and wireless networking equipment. Primary duties include configuring and executing over-the-air throughput tests, gathering and packaging results, and reporting on status, results, and issues encountered during test runs. Other forms of tests include stress and functional tests. Test configuration and execution involves setting up equipment, verifying network connectivity (and diagnosing and resolving issues with such), and operating numerous test tools including Airgain-specific tools and commercially available tools. Reporting of results includes gathering data and formatting for presentation in tabular and graphical formats. Test engineer must have excellent organizational skills with a focus on details and accuracy with tenacity for consistent quality and integrity in test execution and reporting.
- Setting up networking test equipment including test fixtures and the devices under test (DUTs)
- Verifying network connectivity for a test and diagnosing and resolving issues with such
- Operating numerous test tools including Airgain-specific tools and commercially available tools
- Reporting of results by gathering data and formatting for presentation in tabular and graphical formats
- Interacting with project teams (engineering and sales) to help define tests, resolve issues, and present results
- Interacting with customers (as needed; and potentially requiring travel) relating to test configurations or results
- Assist in the definition of test procedures and development of Airgain-specific test tools
Job Requirements:
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 4 years test engineering experience
- 2 years network configuration experience
- Reasonable knowledge of Windows server platforms
- Reasonable knowledge of test practices, procedures, and tools
- Reasonable knowledge of networking concepts, networking tools, and best practices
- Competent user of MS Office or compatible word processor, spreadsheet
- Excellent written and oral skills and experience with remote customer support & diagnostics
- Reasonable knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
- Experience with ghosting systems, network analyzing/testing tools a plus

- BA/BS a plus
