Product Manager

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Product Manager is to manage and define product offerings from market definition through launch, consistent with Airgain’s business and product strategy. This position requires a strong technical background and knowledge of the wireless industry and will report directly to the COO while working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and key customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and communicate product requirements from existing and potential customers
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and provide feedback during product development stages
  • Provide relevant content for datasheets, whitepapers, test plans, product roadmaps, presentations, application notes, etc.
  • Assist with pricing schedules and quotes consistent with margin requirements
  • Support Sales with necessary technical information
  • Help drive tactical plan for market penetration, margin, and revenue growth
  • Attend industry events such as conferences and tradeshows
  • Additional responsibilities as required

 
Work Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of wireless LAN technologies and cellular networks
  • Extensive knowledge of wireless communications standards: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad WLAN; 802.16 WiMAX, etc.
  • Technology experience in embedded and smart antenna systems and wireless performance testing preferred
  • Experience in writing detailed technical specifications and product requirements for antenna system applications
  • Experience with launching new products to the wireless industry
  • 5+ years technical Product Management experience and related work experience

Education:

Technical Bachelors’ Degree (Engineering Preferred) or equivalent; or 5+ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers. Fluency in native language of region strongly preferred.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing (Word) software; Spreadsheet (Excel) software; Presentation Software (PowerPoint), and Internet software.
