Summary: Responsible for obtaining profitable results by creating new business opportunities and meeting sales objectives. Required background and 3-8 years experience in the home broadband market (Wireless LAN experience for set-top-box, router, gateway devices preferred).
Please note: This job location will either be in San Diego or San Jose, CA. No relocation expenses will be paid. If you are not in those areas or unable to commute, then please indicate in your cover letter if you are looking to move to either area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Finds and creates new business opportunities and see them through to revenue and contract closure.
- Presents value of the company to customers & strategic partners to expand current or enter new markets.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Develops and Implements Strategic Account Plans.
- Responsible for sales forecasting / opportunity tracking.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs and pricing.
- Trains Distributors and Manufacturers Representatives on products and company.
- Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
- Represents company at trade shows /associations.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Sales / Manufacturers Representatives / Distributors.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Provides input to Marketing concerning product research and development.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Education/Experience:
Technical Bachelors’ Degree (Engineering Preferred) or equivalent; or 3-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
