Kevin Thelin Promoted to Chief Transportation Engineer
Three decades and well over 200 projects into his career at Murraysmith, Kevin Thelin is moving into the role of Chief Transportation Engineer, and we can’t imagine a better person to take on the job as our transportation team continues building relationships with clients around the West.
Since joining the firm in 1993, Kevin has dedicated his career to the growth of our transportation team, which began as two (including himself) and has multiplied to a talented team of over 60 in the Pacific Northwest! Working his way from project manager to associate and finally to vice president, Kevin has consistently played a key role in helping the firm take on new projects, step up performance, and develop strategies that have led to exponential growth for our transportation discipline. Last year, he was even named a local building industry Icon by the DJC!
But it’s not just what Kevin has accomplished; it’s about how he’s done it. Kevin has and continues to lead in a way that embodies our core values of serving communities and taking care of our people. Building on his experience in the Peace Corps, Kevin has grown into an empathetic and adaptive leader, as well as an invaluable mentor to our up-and-coming staff. His successful, long-term working relationships are a model for who we are, what we do, and how we do it.
As Chief Transportation Engineer, Kevin will continue supporting our team as we tackle exciting projects, providing oversight on major programs and projects, and serving as trusted advisor and advocate for our staff and clients. Having paved the way for Murraysmith + Quincy to provide a full spectrum of Transportation services, Kevin is the perfect person to guide our team as we fortify our relationships with clients in Oregon and create new partnership with clients in Idaho and Washington. Please join all of us at Murraysmith + Quincy in congratulating Kevin on this well-deserved promotion!
