Murraysmith and Quincy Engineering Merge Practices
We are excited to unite our expertise and geographic footprint with Quincy Engineering to craft communities throughout the western U.S.
For 2019, both Murraysmith and Quincy Engineering will operate under our respective names, and will continue to provide high-quality engineering expertise to our clients. With a team of 300 people in 17 offices, the merger also provides boundless opportunities for our team members to grow their careers and deepen their expertise.
Quincy Engineering specializes in transportation and bridge design, water/wastewater engineering, and construction management – the perfect complement to our water, wastewater, and transportation expertise. Their significant presence in California balances ours in the Pacific Northwest. Together, we’ve got the western U.S. covered.
“I’m so excited to merge with a firm that holds a similar mission. The Quincy Engineering and Murraysmith teams have been collaborating for nearly 10 years, and we’re excited to be moving forward together,” said Murraysmith President and CEO Chris Rayasam, who serves as CEO of the merged company.
As part of the merger, Quincy Engineering President and CEO John Quincy, PE, will be able to do more of what he loves – engineering safe, landmark bridges and transportation infrastructure in the communities we serve. As a vice president of the merged company, John will see that both firms continue to provide the highest level of service to our public agency clients, while mentoring staff along the way.
About Quincy Engineering
Founded in 1992, Quincy Engineering was born out of a desire to do the right thing for clients and their communities and to create an engineering firm that did things differently. It began primarily as a bridge design firm and has expanded to offer roadway and water/wastewater engineering, construction management, and surveying expertise.
