Murraysmith’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program

Helping our community prosper is what Murraysmith is all about. For over three decades, we have given back to our community and industry causes that are important to our firm and team members. We are proud to announce that we have developed a formal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program that will help us have an even greater impact.

The Murraysmith CSR Program, launched this month, aims to take responsibility for the impacts our business has on stakeholders and society. We are committing to 28 initiatives, new and existing, that fall under three pillars: community, environment, and diversity/inclusion.

Community

Our mission here is people-focused: for both our internal Murraysmith team and the communities in which we live and work. Our team members volunteer their time to give back, while Murraysmith as a company takes care of its own people – making it the best possible place to work.

Environment

As civil engineers, we have an inherent responsibility to protect the environment, from providing clean drinking water to keeping rivers healthy. Still, we strive to go above and beyond when it comes to environmental sustainability. That’s why we’re committing to reduce our footprint and serve as stewards of the environment. Our goals include:

• Reducing carbon emissions
• Managing materials by reducing, reusing, and recycling
• Improving energy efficiency
• Conserving water

Diversity/Inclusion

The diversity/inclusion program aims to build a diverse network of engineers and team members.

This program was born from our core value “We Give a $#!T”. We’re passionate about having a positive impact on the environment, our community, and the lives of others.
