Jeff Fuchs, PE
From the beginning, Jeff has had a passion for problem solving and knack for mathematics, making engineering an obvious career choice. He’s worked on both the public and consulting side, bringing experience that spans large diameter water pipelines, transportation, ADA, and even ferry terminals and destination resorts. One through line of his engineering career has been his top-notch project and program management, which he accomplishes through his proactive communication style and by fostering diverse teams where everyone has a voice.
Jeff’s other career is fine art—he paints abstract art and turns wood when he’s not busy helping clients solve their infrastructure issues. He also enjoys rock climbing, bike riding, and spending time with his wife, Robin, and their adorable Golden Retriever, Uma.
What do you find the most rewarding about your work? I love collaborating with other people, learning from them, helping them when I can, and making our communities better places to live and work.
What would surprise people about you? I grew up raising sheep and steers for 4H and plowing my neighbors’ fields in rural Tracy, California.
Best pace to be when you’re not working: Art studio or the woods
