Zak Toledo
A kid from the coast, Zak grew up fascinated by interfaces—the meeting of the sea and the land, of nature and infrastructure. This meeting place of ideas fueled his curiosity and collaborative spirit to facilitate creative solutions. Beyond providing environmental compliance consulting on hundreds of transportation projects, Zak is a technical, marketing, and operational leader, where he employs his expertise in strategic planning, business development, communications, and regulatory compliance.
Zak is a first-generation native Oregonian who married his college sweetheart and had two boys. He can still be found wandering the coast, usually with his family in tow.
What do you find the most rewarding about your work? Moving communities forward through awareness and appreciation of their infrastructure, environment, and people.
What would surprise people about you? I was an infantry sergeant–Oregon Army National Guard.
What are your hobbies? Walking in nature, birdwatching, laughing, being present, and satisfying my curiosity.
